Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22, 1975) is an American actress. She has received many awards including the Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award, as in addition to five Emmy Award nominations and a BAFTA nomination. She belongs to the Barrymore actor family and the granddaughter of John Barrymore. Barrymore achieved fame as a child actor with her performance in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. After a very publicized childhood marked by drug and alcohol addiction, she wrote an autobiography Little Girl Lost. In the 90s she was in a variety of films including Poison, Boys on the Side and Mad Love. Barrymore was in a variety of films with Adam Sandler, including The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Blended. Barrymore became famous as the child actor for her role on E.T.
