Abigail Marie Clancy Bio
Abigail Marie Clancy is an English lingerie, catwalk and television model. In 2006, she finished second in the British Next Top Model cycle 2. She also won series 11 and 12 on Strictly Come Dancing 2013. She has been Britain's Next Top Model presenter since the year 2015. Clancy was the youngest of the four kids born to Karen (nee Sullivan), and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was born in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and was a student at St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy formed the girl group Genie Queen, which was directed by Andy McCluskey (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark). Clancy was among thirteen finalist for Living TV's Britain’s Next Top Model's second cycle in the year 2006. The contest lasted for ten weeks for a modeling contract. Clancy together alongside another contestant Lianna Foller, made it to the final runway show. Clancy eventually became the second place winner. Clancy was the first model to appear on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy posed for Arena magazine in May 2007. He was featured on the cover with the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was chosen to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine in the 2010 swimsuit edition. Clancy was featured because of her connection to Peter Crouch and was photographed for the magazine wearing only body paint to make it appear like she was sporting an England shirt, shot by Yu Tsai. Clancy was featured in a campaign for Umbro sportswear, modelling an England shirt. She was also photographed with other wives of footballers and girlfriends from nations who have won the World Cup. Clancy was a model for Giles Deacon's ready-to-wear Giles Spring 2011. In July 2013 she appeared in London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign, as part of a fashion editorial written by Absynth Photographic as well as the fashion film of Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on August's UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was also featured in the December 2013 LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar with Suki Wasserhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was featured on British Marie Claire's July 2014 cover as well as British Elle's March 2015 cover. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch her daughter, also known as Sophia Crouch, collaborated with Lipsy (a London-based fashion label) for the launch of their AW'19 collection. The collection was began to be launched in the UAE in January 2020.
