Abi Clarke

In the past, i.e. Early 2020. In the past comedians might have been able to gig up and down the UK for several years prior to getting invited to join a television panel and selling an arena tour. It's not easy at the moment. Comedy is one art form that is able to remain performed front of a live audience, however, we'll probably not have arena tours any time soon. But one comedian from Bristol is able to reach an international public through the use of the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke was not planning out to be an internet celebrity. The 24-year old, who lives in Hen bury, with her parents, started creating online videos "to build a following of people who like my stand-up comedy. "I was doing a lot more gigs in Devon to males aged 50 and over, so I started creating online videos in the hope that I could build a community of like-minded individuals who would be interested in my stand-up comedy," Abi said.
